Performer Denies Anti-Vax Position After Narrating Contentious Covid Feature

The "Taken" star has provided his narration to a new documentary that questions the efficacy of immunizations and lauds former cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a bestselling book co-authored by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the pandemic for allegations that Covid was a result of a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

The publication's co-author, a producer, has also written books with controversial radio host the Infowars host. Heckenlively recently posted hailing Neeson's involvement in the film.

A Firm Rebuttal

Representatives for the actor have issued a comment strongly denying implications that he holds anti-immunization views.

"Many acknowledge that unethical practices may occur within the medical sector, but that cannot be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the response explains. "Neeson is not, and cannot be described as, against vaccines. His long work with the UN children's agency reinforces his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The statement continued that the actor was not involved in crafting the film's narrative and that concerns about its content ought to go to the filmmakers.

Central Claims Featured in the Feature

In the film, the voiceover provided by Neeson features several strong statements:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "blind obedience" to public institutions.
  • It posits that "medical science has become dangerously politicised."
  • Kennedy is featured saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • The narration takes aim at stay-at-home orders, saying they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • Regarding Covid vaccines, it references a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Past Background and Current Disputes

The documentary includes a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was afterwards the focus of a correction by the network for violations of guidelines.

Recently, RFK Jr instructed the CDC to revise its long-held position that there is no link between vaccines and autism. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, despite a recent study from the WHO confirming no connection has been found.

A Past Record of Support

Standing in contrast to the documentary's tone, Neeson has previously shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he described vaccines as "an incredible triumph," noting that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script saying, "This is not the end of our story. Rather, it is the start of a new chapter."
