During a commanding showing, England secured a further triumph against Albania, with multiple squad members producing notable displays throughout the game.

Starting Lineup

The goalkeeper Had little to do to make during the opening 45 but then called into action by an opponent's bent shot. A sliding intervention on an Albanian attacker highlighted excellent reading of the game. 6/10

The debutant Tested by Albania’s primary attacker through their forward. Started more centrally to begin with later drifted to the flank after Saka entered the fray. Seven

The defender Moved up the pitch when in possession, something he's known for in the past. On occasion seemed hesitant in possession with the experiment discontinued after the break. 6/10

Dan Burn A nuisance at set pieces, per usual, perhaps is a replacement for Stones in defense rather than alongside him. A loose distribution after the break almost led to a goal from the visitors. 6

Nico O’Reilly One more confident performance by the youngster after his first cap versus Serbia. Saka failed to make the most of an exquisite flick over their defense. The role is firmly his so soon. 7

The newcomer A debut start for his country. A bit careless in possession but his dangerous corners were a threat. A useful game manager available to the manager to call upon versus defensive opponents. Cautioned for a rash foul. 6/10

The midfielder Deliveries on corner kicks and set-plays caused problems. Enjoyed license to drift in left midfield only to be in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Given a deserved rest after an hour. 6/10

The star midfielder Played in a high spot on the right while also did plenty of the hard yards. Demonstrated flashes of quality and dragged an effort wide. Withdrawn late on for a teammate, his rival, after being booked. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's best chance in the opening period, his strike well saved by Thomas Strakosha. With a teammate hanging back, it fell to him to stretch the play on the right but his crosses from the touchline were hit and miss. Replaced late in the match. Six

The captain The match-winner netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. His first a classic poacher’s finish and the second an excellent finish with his head after peeling away away from the opposition. Now 32, his form is unwavering and the side are strong contenders next summer with him leading the line. Eight

The attacker Struggled to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity after being played in by the midfielder but the keeper denied him. Rashford had a greater effect after coming on. Five
