This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the title's launch, to trainers developing firm views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a strong ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the Pokémon and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of treats. Many previous official descriptions mention their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Observe this total royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of any gathering, providing an endless stream of chatter to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a intense symbol famous for frequently becoming wrapped up in their feelings. The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly critical is strongly reflected across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are numerous Libras who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to always believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Super Chandelure

Aloof element Aquarius is possibly the non-flame sign that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire typing fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also very Water Bearer.
