The Football Star Age: 19 Sport: Football Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros. She was introduced as a substitute to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent. Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent. She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player. Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October. The Darts Prodigy Age: 18 Sport: Darts Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history. "I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
